Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich.) said Sunday on ABC's “This Week” that she believes former President Donald Trump is “weak” and a “charlatan.”
Whitmer said, “He's a charlatan. He's making people believe he's strong when in reality he's very weak.''He told Michiganders he wouldn't close any factories.'' 6 have closed. He just came to Detroit and vilified the city of Detroit. He's showing his ignorance of what a renaissance in the city of Detroit really is. He doesn't understand. He blames autoworkers and says kids can do the job. He likes to pretend to be strong, but he's actually weak.”
Host Martha Raddatz said, “Let's talk about the Arab American vote in Michigan. Uncommitted delegates flatly say we don't support Kamala Harris. What happened in Gaza? We're not going to vote for her because of that. How do you convince them?”
“I think it's about keeping the dialogue open. There are a lot of people in the community who support Kamala Harris. There are people who support Donald Trump, and I think it's about keeping the dialogue open,” Whitmer said. Some people say, I don't support it, but let the people decide what to do.At the end of the day, the biggest issue, whether it's that issue or any other issue, is to make your life better. It’s about who has a plan to make it better.”
