San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke about how the team is feeling after star receiver Brandon Aiyuk was ejected from the field during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Shanahan said the 49ers are concerned that Aiyuk has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.
“It looks like it, but we don't know for sure,” Shanahan said. 49erswebzone.com. “We're just doing the testing and everything in our own hands and working with the trainers and all that. That's what we're afraid of, as it seems, because we've been wrong before. , I hope so.”

Aiyuk will undergo further testing to confirm the 49ers' fears.
Aiyuk caught a pass from QB Brock Purdy with 37 seconds left in the first half and was simultaneously tackled by Justin Reed and Chamari Conner for a 15-yard gain.

However, just as Reed was about to take him down, Connor sprinted forward and threw himself at Aiyuk's legs. A video replay of the tackle showed a buckle in Aiyuk's right knee, which he felt immediately on the field.
Aiyuk had to be pulled from the field after trainers assessed his situation.
The injury came after the 49ers were already without Deebo Samuel, who tried to play through the illness but ended up being injured early in a 28-18 loss to Kansas City. I had to leave.

This offseason has also been a roller coaster for the talented receiver. He was seeking a new long-term contract extension in addition to playing on his fifth-year option.
The 49ers and Aiyuk went back and forth, with the latter demanding a trade and the former ultimately telling him he would be forced to practice right before the season. The two sides ultimately agreed to a four-year, $120 million contract that keeps Aiyuk with the Niners long-term.
Aiyuk totaled 351 yards through the air on 23 catches (41 targets) through six games, but never reached the end zone this season. If this is an ACL tear, the 49ers will likely end the year with this number as they put Aiyuk back on track with 2025 in mind.
The 49ers' offense is a talented group, but Aiyuk has been a recent injury to Shanahan's group. Christian McCaffrey is suffering from Achilles tendonitis in both feet, so that's the obvious talent they're missing at the moment.
