EXCLUSIVE: Texts Show Star J6 Witness Went Around Her Own Lawyer To Help Liz Cheney

Cassidy Hutchinson, the committee's key witness on January 6th, secretly assisted former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney in the Capitol riot investigation, according to messages obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller. Supported.

The message was sent by Hutchinson to Alyssa Farrar Griffin, who served as Pentagon press secretary during the Trump administration. In his message, Mr. Hutchinson asked whether the committee intended to have Mr. Farrar testify live and asked Mr. Farrar to inform Mr. Cheney and the committee of attorney Stephen Passantino's plans on January 6th.

Mr. Passantino told the caller that he had no suspicions of such activity at the time and that he had never seen these specific messages between Mr. Hutchinson and Mr. Farrar. I admitted it. “While this is the first time I have seen some of these documents, everything here is consistent with what I have said publicly and asserted in various lawsuits filed over the past 18 months. I am surprised and pleased that the facts have come to light,” Passantino told the Caller. (Related: iPhone screenshot debunks Cassidy Hutchison's claim she never dated Matt Gaetz)

Hutchinson began the conversation by asking about any previous discussions the two had had and whether Farrah had “talked it out” with anyone about it.

“Hey! Yes. So I contacted Liz. She agreed to keep our conversation completely confidential. She respects you and from her testimony, I said I can tell you want the right thing to do. Her only concern is that you've been advertising for too long that you're in counseling and she can't ethically talk to you without him. But what she's suggesting is to follow up with you with a lawyer that he and Dan George can lead, maybe without the other members and Tim. . Does that help at all? It turns out that she really wants to work with you and is just trying to find the right way to do it.

“I mean, do you think this is actually of interest to her at this point, or is there no debate? Like they've moved beyond that,” Hutchinson responded.

“Oh, that's very interesting. She basically just wants to frame the story in a way that you're comfortable with, so that if you talk to them again, you don't get into trouble with the Trump world.” , they're asking, not you, so we want to make sure that's clear,” Farah said. Hutchinson later said she had trouble contacting a lawyer before discussing the possibility of leaking information to reporters.

“My patience is really thin,” Hutchinson said.

“Do you think your lawyer will fire you? I feel like you can express yourself,” Farah asked.

“I've never signed anything. I asked some people and they said it wasn't necessary. They took care of it. So I don't know from a legal standpoint. “But I think so?” Hutchinson replied.

“I just saw it. I texted him Sunday morning to talk and he said he'd call me that afternoon or Monday morning. I've never heard from him since then, even though I've followed up with him every day. That's the last time I ever did that,” Hutchinson continued. “Are you thinking too much??”

“Sorry, I didn't mean to cause any trouble,” she added.

Mr. Farrar said he wanted Mr. Hutchinson to be “extricated” from the situation and suggested he could obtain immunity before sharing information with Mr. Cheney and the committee.

“By the way, I have another idea. You could sit down and share it with the committee, but if the committee shares important information that you provided to the press before the records were made public, it would be You can also make it look like it came from a person,” she added.

Hutchinson then asked if he would be called to testify live.

“She made it clear that she wanted to talk to you at least one more time behind closed doors before she let you out in public,” Farrah responded.

Hutchinson then asked if the committee would ask her to come back for further questioning, insisting that if Passantino volunteered, he would say “go yourself.”

“Okay, that's a good question. I thought she was just going to get you back with additional questions. But maybe you don't want them to go through Stefan? She's ethical /I’m open to doing this anyway, as long as it’s legal,” Farah responded.

Ms. Farrar went on to suggest that her own lawyer might represent Ms. Hutchinson pro bono.

A few days later, after speaking with Passantino, Hutchinson asked Farah to call her “as soon as possible.”

“The Secretary called him on Friday and asked about me coming. Stephen gave me the weekend to 'think about it.' He just said we would comply, but… He’s going to fight back,” Hutchinson told Farah. “dg” appears to refer to Dan George, the committee's attorney.

“Hmm, okay. That was definitely on Liz's instructions. How do you feel about just doing it with Stefan and answering further questions? You can handle yourself and he was just a figurehead. Just be there,” Farah replied.

“And basically giving you an ultimatum is either a) you're going to come back but you need a guarantee that she won't be called live (which I don't think they will), or b) you give them a guarantee.” If not, please reissue the subpoena,” Hutchinson said.

“He's not opposed to me complying. He's actually willing to do it because he thinks it will increase my credibility as a witness. But he's not opposed to the lawsuit. “I'm hoping the committee will do enough to offset the public backlash and paint me as someone who will be very amenable and respectful to Congressional subpoenas,” she continued.

“He's going to call Dan George this afternoon. Could you give Liz or Dan some information? Let's see what they think?” Hutchinson asked Farrar.

“I personally am fine with just Liz and Dan, but I feel like he wants the same thing structurally as my other depositors. We haven't even reached that point yet,” Hutchinson said.

“Does that make sense?” she asked.

“Yeah, that all makes sense. In fact, I agree with Stefan's approach and think it achieved everyone's goals. I'm glad to let Liz know. And how valuable it is. “I don't think you'll be anywhere near the front of the line to give live testimony, but it might be worth asking for a commitment,” Farah replied.

“My guess is that Stefan is concerned about protecting Trump. Your problem was more with the pastures and the people around him. And you were just being honest. ” she added.

“Exactly. He doesn't want me to interfere with the committee on this. Whether I return voluntarily or under subpoena, I'm not sure if President Trump's perception in the world will change.” I think we want to find a balance,” Hutchinson said.

“But he's probably going to be a little less friendly when he talks to the DG. He probably won't tell me outright to re-summon me, so if the DG does (if he does) submit… It might be helpful if you said, “If you don't voluntarily appear in court, we'll probably reissue the subpoena,'' she added.

Hutchinson said their agreed approach could help “reshape” her “reputation” in the press. She also asked Farrar to pass on information to Cheney that she and her former attorney do not intend to contest the subpoena, but that Passantino would like the committee to consider that.

“He spoke to the DG. Convo was consistent with what we discussed. The SP said he needed a subpoena to comply, but “we need to decide whether to contest.'' (We are definitely not going to fight, but he wants the committee to think we are going to fight). If you want to pass to LC or DG,” Hutchinson said.

A few weeks later, Hutchinson texted Farrar, saying, “I feel like I'm going into a coma.”

“I felt like I was going into a coma,” Hutchinson replied. Ms. Farrar said she thought the committee would let her testify live.

“Really?” Hutchinson asked.
