Jason Kelce was arrested at Taylor Swift's Elas Tour performance in Miami last Friday after a photo went viral that appeared to show the former NFL player falling asleep in the VIP box at Hard Rock Stadium. He denied falling asleep.
“You took a nap on the Elas tour. What the hell does that mean?” Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, asked her brother. On Wednesday's episode of the podcast “New Heights”.
Jason, 36, was quick to deny his brother's assumption, telling him: “I'm not taking a nap.”
“Travis, you know I didn't nap. I didn't nap,” Jason declared.
Travis, 35, continued to taunt the retired Philadelphia Eagles center about the viral moment, asking him how he could fall asleep during such an “electric” show.
“This is the best show ever on stage and you're sleeping here?” he pressed.
Jason used the opportunity to explain how he was snapped with his eyes closed at the “crazy” and “exciting” concert.
His brother Kelce said he decided to take his seat because he felt like he was “in a fishbowl” with everyone at the show staring at him.
He claims that his daughter Elliott danced with him until he left for his wife, Kylie Kelsey, after which the former athlete decided to dedicate himself to music.
“I'm just sitting here, just feeling it, tapping my thigh, listening to this song right now, and then all of a sudden I look at Twitter and I see this fucking photo. “I went in,” he said of the snap posted to X by former NFL player Beau Allen, who was also present.
“I'm like, 'Hey, what's going on?' I'm not sleeping, and I can prove it,” he added.
Jason claimed there was “evidence” in the photo to prove he was fully awake.
“My hands are floating. I can't sleep with my hands in my lap,” Jason said. “That's impossible.”
He continued, “I'm not Major Payne. I can't sleep with my eyes open, much less with my hands on my knees. I was tapping my knees.”
Jason pretended to be furious, saying he had been “betrayed by a certain person” which infuriated Allen, 32. [his] Best friend. “
“That's how it goes. It's not a betrayal. It's just friends,” Travis said.
Jason agreed, saying: It's just called friends. ”
Travis, who had to miss the show due to Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, admitted to having “FOMO” (fear of missing out).
“It was unbelievable,” Jason said.
The ESPN analyst attended the concert with Kylie, 32, and two of her three daughters, Wyatt, 5, and Elliott, 3, as well as 1-year-old Bennett. .
