Vice President Kamala Harris went to great lengths during a CNN town hall on Wednesday to avoid a question about whether she could say she was more “pro-Israel” than former President Trump.

“He's thrown himself into being a defender of Israel. Do you think he'll be more pro-Israel than Donald Trump?” asked CNN's Anderson Cooper.

What followed was a lengthy three-minute response to questions that did not involve the Jewish state or the ongoing wars in the Middle East.

“I think Donald Trump is dangerous,” Harris responded. “I think when you have the president of the United States, he says to the generals who worked for him because he's the commander in chief. I think a lot of these conversations took place in the Oval Office. And If the president is so, then the commander in chief of the United States is essentially saying to his generals, “Why can't you be like Hitler's generals?'' Anderson, come on. ”

Harris also cited a “love letter” to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, accusing Trump of admiring the dictator, and earlier in the pandemic that Trump had spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin about COVID-19. He cited recent reports claiming that he had sent virus tests.

“In the midst of the coronavirus, when most Americans had no access to COVID-19 tests and Americans were dying by the hundreds a day, he secretly secretly smuggled the Russian president for his personal use. We sent COVID-19 tests to the United States,” Harris said. “So, again, this election, 13 days away, presents the American people with a very important decision. On the one hand, there's the question of what it means to use the bullish pulpit of the American president; who is going to set an example?” “In tone, words, and actions, we aim to uplift our discourse and combat hate, rather than fanning the flames of hate, which Donald Trump has consistently done.” “There is,” he said.

she continued. “I'm telling you, we're a great country and we love our country. If we didn't love our country, you wouldn't be here. And… There are some things we have to come up with.''While we believe in the importance of healthy debate about real issues, we recognize that there are certain standards we must hold. Masu. ”

Harris says Biden was “honest with the American people” about his mental strength: “He's capable in every way.”

The vice president then quickly changed the subject to Jan. 6, falsely claiming that a police officer was “murdered” during the Capitol riot.

“And, you know, the other point that even John Kerry was talking about, and I believe, and a lot of people do, is that on January 6th, there was a “The president defied the will of the people in a free and fair election and unleashed an act of violence that left 140 people attacked and some killed by the rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol,” Harris said. “So I say, the American people should encourage healthy debate, work across the aisle, [is] He's not afraid of good ideas, no matter where they come from, but he maintains certain standards for how he thinks about roles and responsibilities, and he clearly compares himself to Hitler in an admiring way. We never do,” Harris added.

Cooper did not continue taking questions, telling viewers: “I'm going to take a short break. I'm going to hear more from Vice President Kamala Harris on CNN Presidential Town Hall.”
