Kaine asked patrons at a packed diner in Concord who would win the Tar Heel State, Donald Trump or Kamala Harris.

“I'm not going to throw George under the bus here, but I'm going to throw George under the bus,” Cain said as he approached a man who raised his hand in response to a question about whether Harris would win the state.

“I've been to the polls a couple of times with kids voting for the first time, and they voted correctly,” George said, adding that all of the kids voted for Trump.

“And every time I was there, we were outnumbered 20, 30 to one. [by Harris voters] And in some cases it was worse than that,” he added, and the restaurant fell into stunned silence.

North Carolina will cast 16 electoral votes on Election Day.
