Former President Donald Trump picked up 10 more electoral votes, securing his victory in Wisconsin.
Votes in the hotly contested race were counted just before 2 a.m. ET on Wednesday, with 88% of votes counted. fox news Reported. Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris by four points, and the state turned red again.

In the last presidential election, President Joe Biden narrowly won Wisconsin with just 49.4% of the vote. In 2016, Trump defeated his rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with just 47.8% of the vote.
On Tuesday afternoon, political commentators noted that Wisconsin's gambling market had turned in Mr. Trump's favor. Around 10:00 p.m. Eastern time on election day, Polymarket Trump had a 77% chance of winning, while Harris had a 27% chance of winning.
Early voting statistics in Milwaukee, a Democratic stronghold, also point to a likely Trump victory, with only 35% of total votes cast in November 2020, Blaze News previously reported. Just 37% of registered voters in the state voted early this election cycle.
Due to voting day chaos, Milwaukee officials announced early in the morning that a recount would be necessary. Number of votes: 31,000due to human error.
A spokesperson for the Milwaukee Board of Elections said the doors of 13 vote tabulation machines were not properly sealed. Officials said the mistake could delay reporting by several hours. The MEC said the decision to recount the ballots was “made in consultation with Republican and Democratic officials.”
“This afternoon, Milwaukee Elections Commission (MEC) leadership was alerted to a problem with the tabulation machine door being fully installed,” the MEC explained. “Each machine has a door that must be locked and sealed. It appears some doors were not fully secured by election officials. The City of Milwaukee has no doubts regarding the integrity of the election. do not have.”
Heading into election night results, BlazeTV Sara Gonzalez predicted Trump predicted he would capture several battleground states, including Wisconsin, Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
“We're witnessing a paradigm shift,” BlazeTV's Liz Wheeler said, citing Wisconsin as an example.
