NY AG Letitia James says ‘We are prepared to fight back’ in feisty comments after Trump wins presidency

New York Attorney General Letitia James vowed to “fight back again” after she and Gov. Cathy Hochul almost made an enemy of President-elect Donald Trump during a heated press conference Wednesday.

“As my office prepares for the arrival of the second Trump administration, I stand ready to do everything in my power to ensure our state and nation do not fall behind,” James later said in a statement.

“Together with Governor Hochul, our state and local partners, and my fellow attorneys general from across the country, we will work every day to protect Americans, no matter what this new administration throws at us.” We'll keep trying. We're ready to fight back.”

“New Yorkers will persevere for the next four years,” she told reporters.
