Warriors’ Steve Kerr has sarcastic response to Donald Trump’s win

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had a sarcastic response to President-elect Donald Trump's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris during Wednesday's pregame press conference.

Carr has been an outspoken critic of Trump and even spoke at the Democratic National Convention earlier this year.

The NBA coach has never been shy about expressing his opinions on political issues, from gun control to President Trump, and on Wednesday night he took a sarcastic jab at the winner of the 2024 election.

“I believe in democracy, and the American people spoke out and voted for Mr. Trump,” Carr told reporters. According to NESN. “I wish him the best for the next four years. I want our country to do well. I'm really glad there was no voter fraud this time. Last time he breached the border and raped people. Too bad for the illegal immigrants who did and then voted six times. But thankfully everything was clean this time. So all elections really were, except for the last one four years ago. It’s great that it worked. Shine my eyes in case you couldn’t see.”

As he continued, Carr changed his tone and expressed hope that President Trump would find a way to make the country a better place over the next four years.

“But I believe in democracy, I believe in the will of the people, and I'm going to do everything I can to support our country and our government,” Kerr said. “I want only the best for us. It's a complicated world. Between wars overseas and a global economy that has changed everything in terms of what everyday life means for our citizens. There were a lot of interesting things.

“I'm very aware that I live in a bubble and that I'm one of the luckiest humans on the planet. So I want what's best for us, and I hope President Trump does that.” I hope that we can achieve this.”
