The post was later deleted from Sharma's account, but a screenshot of the alleged post was saved.
The Iowa Standard noted that Sharma's name was no longer found on the University of Iowa's list of medical researchers, but his name was posted on the list along with his photo as recently as Wednesday night.
Breitbart News contacted the University of Iowa about this matter. A university spokesperson issued the following statement: “The University is aware of the situation and is reviewing the matter in accordance with our policies. The University of Iowa strongly opposes violence.”
