Voters prefer Trump for his leadership, ability to enact change: ABC exit poll

According to an ABC News exit poll, President-elect Trump significantly outperformed Vice President Harris among voters who cited a candidate's “leadership” and “ability to make a difference” as the most important qualities in their vote.

Among voters who made the right choice, Harris led Trump by more than 60 points, 82% to 16%, according to the poll. Among voters who said the most important quality was that a candidate “cared about,” Harris beat Trump by nearly 50 points, 73% to 25%.

According to the poll, a combined 81% of Trump supporters cited “leadership” (40%) and “bringing change” (41%) as the most important qualities in a candidate when voting for them.
