Following Donald Trump's historic victory over Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, The New York Times published the following editorial: “'Trump's America': His come-from-behind victory suggests a different kind of country.”
This is one of many defamatory articles published by the news outlet and similar outlets since Trump's victory was confirmed early Wednesday morning. Despite its defamatory nature, this article captures what the left is truly feeling at the moment.
glenn beck I will read the closing words from author Peter Baker. Two things are abundantly clear: Liberals are genuinely afraid of Donald Trump, and their anti-Trump rhetoric will not simply disappear.
“The belief that Mr. Trump is an aberration who will ultimately be consigned to the ash heap of history was swept away Tuesday night by a red tide that swept through battleground states, and the ruling elite's long-held understanding of America was swept away. “wiped out'' both sides. “The political establishment can no longer dismiss Mr. Trump as a temporary interruption in the long march of progress,” Glenn read from the op-ed.
The article goes on to expand on the left's anti-Trump rhetoric, calling for a “convicted felon” to be elected president, “attempting to overturn the last election, calling for the repeal of the Constitution, and calling for the abolition of the Constitution.” He lamented America's decision to return power to the leaders who sought to seize it. From day one, he decided to become a dictator and vowed revenge against his opponents. ”
Baker also demonized the millions of Americans who voted for Donald Trump, saying they ignored Trump's “lies” and “outlandish conspiracy theories” and called him “a victim of persecution.” He claimed that he accepted them as “victims of persecution'' rather than as “victims of persecution.''[dismissing] He was a felon who was found in various courts to be a fraudster, fraudster, sexual abuser, and defamer. ”
Baker called the election “a CAT scan of the American people.”
“As hard as it is to say and as hard as it is to name names, what this case reveals is, at least in part, a terrifying affinity for a corrupt man without borders,” he said. I wrote it.
But perhaps most alarming is Baker's assertion that President Trump “used this campaign to condition Americans to view American democracy as a failed experiment.”
“Trump's victory will mean a victory for this vision of America and its resort to violence as a means to solve political problems,” Baker declared.
Baker's article captures how liberal voters feel about Donald Trump's victory. They truly believe he is an evil tyrant who will destroy this country and are disgusted that this was America's choice. They feel the same way people who voted for President Trump would feel if Harris won the election: disappointed and scared.
But Glenn has a message for these people.
“I believe it comes from a misunderstanding of what our country is,” he says. “They see our country in the way that Woodrow Wilson defined it, which is an administrative state,” but “what lies in the American soul is something entirely different.”
“Who are we? What do we fight for?” Glenn asks.
“We see America in the tradition of our Founding Fathers” and “We believe that the American spirit is a force that inspires dreams. It also fueled revolutions. It is It also propelled some of the greatest innovations and accomplishments the world has ever seen. …We believe in the American individual,” Glenn says.
And to liberals who claim to believe these things, Glenn says: What to eat, what to drive, what to teach our children. ”
“We don't believe that,” he says.
Glenn explains that our nation was possible because the American spirit, which yearned for true freedom, was stronger than the will of tyrants.
“They don't decide our destiny, we decide it!” He defines the American spirit, proclaiming it to be “beyond race, religion, and class.”
“We're an anomaly because the rest of the world has been told, 'Shut up and sit down.'” … We're an anomaly because, “You can't say that to me. Who are you?” You don't control my life. You don't control my vision. You can't control my every move,'' Glenn exclaimed.
“Our founders knew that governments, left unchecked, would accumulate power at the expense of individuals.” “We've been down this path that you might say, “It's just the way it is,'' but “it's a perversion,'' he said, pointing out that the year was 1916. The railroad tracks were switched and America adopted the idea that “man cannot govern himself.”
But believing that is the same as admitting, “You don't understand who Americans are.”
