President Joe Biden on Wednesday invited President-elect Donald Trump to meet him at the White House.

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Saturday that Biden and Trump were scheduled to meet in the Oval Office.
“At President Biden's invitation, President Biden and President-elect Trump will meet in the Oval Office on Wednesday,” Jean-Pierre said.
Trump won the presidential election on November 5th, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris, and will take office on January 20th.th.
Mr. Biden originally planned to seek re-election, but withdrew from the race in July after his poor performance in the debate with Mr. Trump.
