Nick Bosa fined by NFL for crashing interview wearing MAGA hat

San Francisco 49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa was fined by the NFL after falling during a postgame interview while wearing a MAGA hat.

The league fined Bosa $11,255 after he crashed during a live interview after the team's win over the Dallas Cowboys late last month, according to league officials. he told CNN.

Botha spoke to the media after it was announced that President-elect Donald Trump would be the president-elect. He said it wouldn't matter much to him if the NFL fined him for jumping into the interview.

Asked Wednesday if he thought he would be fined, he said, “I don't know.” “I haven't received it yet, but if you want to come, I'll come.”

He knew he could be fined by the NFL, but added that wearing the hat was “well worth it.”

The NFL has a rule that prohibits players from wearing or displaying unauthorized personal messages during game day when visible to those watching at the stadium or at home.

Botha said “the people spoke” in the election and that his support for Trump remains unchanged.

After failing to give a post-game interview, he was asked about his political statements at a press conference. He said he didn't plan to talk much about the topic, but said it was an important time.

Bosa was also asked if he had ever wanted to show support for Trump in the past. He said he is “definitely feeling a little bit more comfortable now,” but is not “very” willing to publicly support the president-elect.

Bosa and Trump met at a UFC fight in Miami earlier this year and posed for a photo with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
