Man wanted for allegedly stabbing his own father to death

A search is underway for a 23-year-old Long Island man suspected of stabbing his father to death Saturday morning.

Suffolk County police are asking for the public's help in finding Matthew Zoll, who is believed to have stabbed his father, Joseph Zoll, 61, to death in their Rocky Point home.

The New York Post first reported that officers were called to the home around 1:25 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a stabbing.

According to police, Matthew Zoll is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities added that Matthew Zoll, who had a small wound under his left eye, did not appear to have a car.

Police have not released a motive for the killing.
