A Thicke officer accused of strangling a woman to death outside a Times Square hotel was arrested in New Jersey on Tuesday, law enforcement officials said.
Jaheem Warren, 33, stalked a random woman in Midtown on October 29, strangled her to death, and dumped her body on the sidewalk in front of the Riu Plaza New York Times Square on West 46th Street.
He was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Prospect Park and charged with two counts of murder.
Officials said the victim, believed to be in his 30s, was taken off life support on November 8.
Records show Warren has an extensive criminal history with convictions in New Jersey.
When asked by reporters outside the Midtown North Precinct whether he had assaulted the woman, a handcuffed Warren said “no” before being placed in the back seat of a cruiser.
In addition to the two counts of murder, he was also charged with two counts of assault and two counts of strangulation, officials said.
