Trump heads to New York City for UFC fight

president-elect trump planning to visit new york city The UFC heavyweight championship was decided on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

The event will be Trump's first visit to the arena since his highly publicized and controversial rally in October.

The event, which featured appearances by Melania Trump and billionaire Elon Musk, sparked controversy after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe declared Puerto Rico a “garbage island.”

Many lawmakers and experts predicted the gaffe could cost Trump the Puerto Rican vote and hurt him in the polls. Trump's campaign insisted that Hinchliffe's comments did not reflect the former president's views, and Trump himself called the rally “an absolute love fest.”

President Trump will return to a newsworthy site for the first time since winning the election in the heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Jim Jones at UFC 309.

Trump spent much of his time on the campaign trail with the organization's CEO, Dana White, who spoke alongside the former president in his official acceptance speech.

“There's no one who deserves this more than him, and there's no one who deserves this more than his family. This is what happens when a machine comes after you,” White said at Trump Mar, Florida. – Speaking at A Lago Resort.
