The New York Times reported on Sunday, citing unnamed U.S. officials, that President Biden has authorized the Ukrainian military to use long-range missiles provided by the United States against targets inside Russian territory.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously said such an escalation would amount to an act of war. He has not yet responded to Biden's announcement Sunday.
The White House did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
