South American Crime Ring Suspected In Robberies Of NFL Stars: REPORT

Police say sophisticated South American crime syndicates are not behind recent luxury heists, including those at the homes of prominent NFL stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, according to reports. I doubt it.

multiple sources said Fox4 law enforcement suspects members of a South American criminal organization are raiding luxury homes.

“This is a sophisticated operation and not someone you would take to your local pawn shop,” security expert Mike Barbieri told the publication. “It doesn't surprise me at all that this criminal activity that's happening across the country is being orchestrated by very sophisticated people, like cartels.”

According to Fox4, Barbieri also said he believed there was a significant amount of work done prior to the robbery, including weeks of intelligence gathering and possibly working inside the targeted residence. Ta.

Barbieri is a security expert with experience working with federal law enforcement agencies, according to Fox4. He has overseen security details in more than 20 countries.

“If you have a particular individual, like an athlete or a wealthy CEO, you can find out almost everything you want to know about them online,” he told the outlet.

“If you've recently had work done on your home and then miraculously had it burglarized, you can draw some very interesting conclusions from that,” he pointed out.

“Some of the people at the scene may be acquainted with people involved in the cartel and may be selling information,” he said.

According to Fox4, Barbieri said wealthy victims store many of their valuables in their bedrooms, which is often the first place burglars target when robbing a home.
