An underage high school student was sexually assaulted in a bathroom by a knife-wielding 19-year-old boy who entered a campus in suburban Dallas. According to To the police.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon on the Mesquite ISD's Horn High School campus in Mesquite, Texas.

Mesquite police said the man was able to enter the school despite security measures because someone inside opened a locked door. Once inside, he allegedly found a female student with whom he had a previous relationship and forced her into the bathroom.
Police said in a press release that the man assaulted the victim and “used a deadly weapon to force her into the bathroom, where the sexual assault occurred.”
Police said the suspect fled the school after a teacher realized he was not a student and was later arrested at his home in Seagoville. They identified him as 19-year-old Sinnaiz Elijah.
A Mesquite ISD spokesperson explained the safety measures taken at the school.
“The exterior doors are locked for a reason. There are only two authorized entrances for visitors to Horn High School,” the statement reads. “All exterior doors are checked four times daily by campus staff to ensure they are locked and properly closed. There are three full-time school information officers and three security guards on campus each day. There is.”
Elijah is charged with aggravated assault of a child.
