Woody Johnson is a total idiot.
The New York Jets' owner is no stranger to outlandish behavior, but this latest news may make a splash. We've already seen him fire head coach Robert Saleh and recently he fired general manager Joe Douglas, now let's see what this idiot tried to do .
According to a report on Tuesday, The AthleticCiting multiple sources, Coach Johnson benched superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers (yes, that Aaron Rodgers) and replaced him. Tyrod Taylor As a starter. And this was before Saleh and Douglas were fired, and after the Week 4 loss to the Denver Broncos. After that tragedy, Johnson reportedly met with then-head coach Robert Saleh, Douglas, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and now former defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. Oh, and the team executives were also involved in this. However, Johnson was quickly shot down and reined in after sharing his plans with Rodgers because he thought he was holding the Jets back. After being told that pulling the trigger would cause chaos in the locker room, Johnson listened.
So…stupid…
