The hot stove is heating up even more, with two former high-level prospects being traded for each other.
The team announced that 2021 National League Rookie of the Year Jonathan India will be traded to the Royals with the Reds for pitcher Brady Singer.
Outfielder Joey Wiemer will also be sent to Kansas City in this deal.
India, who turns 28 next month, spent four seasons with the Reds and had a chance to form a formidable middle infield alongside AL MVP runner-up Bobby Witt Jr.
Throughout his career, he had 63 home runs, 229 RBIs, a .253 batting average, and a .764 OPS.
Last season, the second baseman hit .248 with 132 base hits, 15 home runs, and 58 RBIs.

Singer started 32 games for the Royals, posting a 3.71 ERA and a career-high 170 strikeouts in 179 2/3 innings.
The 28-year-old singer is in his sixth year in the major leagues.
Weimer, a 25-year-old center fielder, appeared in 28 at-bats last year.
In 2023, his only full season, he had 13 home runs, 42 RBIs, and a .645 OPS with the Brewers.
