A fundraising page for a former Democratic National Committee staffer is being mocked and ridiculed by critics on social media.
The DNC employees union was furious that the committee fired many employees with little notice or severance packages after the campaign raised and spent more than $1 billion to lose entire branches of the federal government. .

On Monday, the existence of a GoFundMe account raising money for the laid-off staff surfaced on social media, and critics lined up on social media to inject their best humor into the fundraiser. And so.

The DNC union demanded that the committee's actions be “aligned” with the committee's stated political values after the cuts.
The GoFundMe had raised Approximately $17,800 towards the $25,000 goal.
