Senior Harris campaign advisor makes stunning admission about internal polls before the election

Weeks after the disastrous election, Harris Waltz's top campaign adviser made a startling admission about an internal poll he conducted before the election.

David Plouffe said Vice President Kamala Harris had never outperformed President-elect Donald Trump in an internal poll before Election Day. According to On Huffington Post.

“We were hopeful. I can't tell you how optimistic we were.”

Plouffe made the comments Tuesday during an appearance on the left-leaning podcast Pod Save America.

“We were hopeful. I don't know how optimistic we were, but we thought, 'Okay, this is a tie,'” Plouffe said. “I hope to win,” he continued.

Instead, the election went in President Trump's direction, and Harris lost.

“I didn’t get the break I needed on Election Day,” he continued. “I think people were surprised because the polls that came out in late September and early October were showing a lead that we had never seen before.”

In fact, Plouffe suggested on the same podcast weeks before Election Day that Harris was likely headed for defeat.

“So for all of us who want to see Kamala Harris win, I know you wish there was an easy path, but that path doesn't exist. This is basically “…history shows us that it will end very close, if not by a few thousand votes in seven states,” he said at the time.

“I think the reason for this anomaly is that there were a lot of polls in the last month that showed Kamala Harris' lead wasn't real,” he added. Since mid-September, for example, we've seen this situation basically become a tie. ”

Harris suffered a landslide defeat, and Republicans regained the Senate majority and maintained the House majority.
