Democrats released a short and bizarre video by Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday, weeks after their devastating Election Day defeat.
“Don't let anyone or any situation take away your power.”
Harris sought to cheer up her supporters, who were likely distraught after her election loss, with Democrats losing the Senate majority but Republicans retaining the House majority.
“I just want to remind you, never let anyone take your power away from you,” Harris said in the video.
“You have the same power. And you have the same purpose. And you have the same ability to engage and inspire,” she continued. “So don't let anyone or any situation take your power away from you.”
The video was posted on the Democratic Party's official social media accounts, collected It reached nearly 1 million views in just two hours.
Critics of the vice president said she sounded intoxicated in the video and mocked her remarks.

Democrats are fighting over who is most responsible for the election failure. Also on Tuesday, Harris' campaign adviser David Plouffe acknowledged that internal polling had never shown Harris ahead of Trump, and that he had expected her support to jump on Election Day.
