Video of Costco confrontation sparks debate over naughty shopper behavior

He better be careful.

On the eve of Thanksgiving, footage of a violent confrontation between customers that appeared to be filmed inside Costco was released, sparking a debate online about naughty shopper behavior as gift-buying season gets underway.

Video from another customer shows a frustrated man trying to weave his way through a crowd of shoppers in the aisles and crashing his shopping cart into a woman's. Posted in Costco thread on Redditis not affiliated with any mega chain store.

According to the video, a man with a small dog stares into the blockage and says people should come outside before moving from cart to cart with the woman.

The woman initially tried to push the man back before he passed her in the cart.

When an employee urged him to calm down, he said, “You're going to lose that battle.”

It was not immediately clear what led to the collision.

It's unclear when and where the showdown took place, but it was posted online Wednesday as shoppers were trying to buy last-minute items for Thanksgiving banquets.

“Nothing makes me want to go to Costco near the holidays,” one Redditor wrote. “The people there are already in the worst condition. I can't imagine how bad they will be the day before Thanksgiving or Christmas.”

The footage prompted comments about proper shopper etiquette, with a poster reading: “He shouldn't be acting like that… why are there three carts blocking the aisle?” was.

“I mean, that's how I feel when people block the aisle, but I couldn't act like that.” [for real] Lol,” another account said.

“The way he reacted was wrong, but why are so many people just standing in the middle of the store and not allowing anyone to pass?” another poster wrote.

“Okay, but seriously why is everyone blocking the aisle?” another social media user wondered.

Some online posters criticized the impatient man for bringing his dog to the warehouse store.

“Ugh, I hate people bringing animals into the grocery store,” one person fumed.

Costco did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Costco will be closed on Thanksgiving, but will reopen on Black Friday.

“God bless all Costco employees this holiday season,” one Reddit user said sharply.
