Former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) said Thursday on CNN's “This Morning” that Americans should enjoy Thanksgiving and that President-elect Donald Trump's “disinformation, brutality and lies” He said the government should “face this with a resolute attitude.”
“He's lying. We don't want to go through four years of this. America needs to open its mouth,” Walsh said of Trump's claim that the Mexican president agreed to stop migrants from crossing the border. We still have to come to grips with the fact that we just re-elected someone who lies every time. I mean, period.”
He continued, “This is the game he plays. He threatens to do things unless he gets his way. He lies that he got his way when he doesn't. And now… Look, Mexico is trying something totally new. This Thanksgiving bullshit. Jim, he's lying, plain and simple.”
Discussing Elon Musk, host Jim Acosta said, “He says he's going to be part of DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency, which goes after government waste, but he just acts like a cyber bully and Trump “It seems like they are just going after people who are perceived as enemies of the US.”
Walsh said: “That's not true. He's the richest man on the planet. He's got the biggest platform on the planet and he's the biggest purveyor of disinformation on the planet.”
He added: “Enjoy your Thanksgiving, America. But we all must tighten our belts. The next four years will be filled with disinformation, brutality, and lies.”
