VIDEO:7 Iranians Found in Large Migrant Group at Texas Border

Border Patrol agents arrested a group of 289 migrants near Eagle Pass, Texas. This group included seven foreign nationals of special interest from Iran.

Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Lt. Chris Olivares posted videos and photos on social media showing Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio area arresting a large number of migrants near Eagle Pass.

The migrants illegally crossed the border from Mexico into Maverick County, Texas, around 3 a.m. Friday. The group included seven foreign nationals of special interest from Iran.
Late on Thanksgiving night, DPS officers arrested 22 more immigrants at Maverick. Olivarez said officers charged five single adult immigrants with trespassing.

Olivares reported Wednesday that a large group of 166 migrants who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into the Eagle Pass area were arrested. The group also included five additional special interest foreigners from Iran and Turkey.

The group also included 31 unaccompanied migrant children between the ages of 10 and 16. Officers charged 31 immigrants with trespassing.
