The Pittsburgh Steelers know nothing about a losing record, at least for the past 21 seasons.
Russell Wilson threw for 414 yards and three touchdowns as the Steelers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 44-38 for their ninth win of the season. With their ninth win, the Steelers are certain to finish above .500.

This is the 21st consecutive season the Steelers have finished above .500, tying the NFL record with the Dallas Cowboys. It was the 18th consecutive winning season under head coach Mike Tomlin. The other three were under Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Cowher.
Tom Landry led the Cowboys to 21 consecutive undefeated seasons from 1965 to 1985.
Tomlin has been the Steelers' head coach since the 2007 season. He has one Super Bowl win on his resume. His total record is 182 wins, 103 losses, and 2 draws.

“I thought our group was smiling in the face of it, especially [quarterback Russell Wilson]Tomlin said after the game. “It's his first time experiencing AFC North football, but I think he settled into it well today. He put himself squarely in the history books of this series with his performance today.”
The last time the Steelers finished with a losing record was in 2003, when they went 6-10 with Tommy Maddox at quarterback. The team selected Ben Roethlisberger in the next draft, and his solid defense led the team to a 15-1 season in 2004. They won the Super Bowl in 2005 under Cowher.

Pittsburgh's win over Cincinnati gave the Steelers a commanding lead in the AFC North. The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, which will move them at least one game ahead of the Steelers in the win column.
