“With all due respect, the President of the United States, especially with that statement, you're pissed about that,” he said. “I'm going to be here, over the national airwaves, looking the president of the United States in the face and saying, 'You've had your fill.'”

Smith explained that he has no problem with Biden not wanting his sons in prison, and was adamant that President-elect Donald Trump would have done the same for his sons.
“I said a few weeks ago that we should let him go. He's your son, he's a recovering addict, he's been battling his demons for years,” Smith said. Ta. “And the fact that you dropped your son off, I completely understand. Donald Trump would have dropped his son off. Anyone would do that, at least most people. I understand that. It doesn't matter, sir.
“This issue, and the reason I say you're full of it, is because of your excuses. In short, 'This is my son. I have the power to forgive him, the power to grant him pardon. , whatever. That's what I'm doing. You guys are stoned. That would have been enough for me, it's your son, it's your child, and as you pointed out, he's fought a lot of demons. What else did you say?”
Biden said in a statement that he believes his son “is being treated differently” in the case in which he was convicted.
“The charges in his case only arose after several of my political opponents in Congress attacked me and incited me to oppose my election,” the president said. “Then, a carefully negotiated plea deal agreed to by the Justice Department unraveled in court. Many of my political opponents in Congress take credit for bringing political pressure to this process. Had a deal been held, a plea bargain would have been made.''Hunter's case resulted in a fair and reasonable resolution.

“No rational person considering the facts of Hunter's case could come to any other conclusion than that Hunter was chosen solely because he is my son, and that is wrong. He is five and a half years old. There were efforts to break Hunter down, and they tried to break me down in the face of relentless attacks and selective prosecution, but there is no reason to believe this will be enough.”
Smith denied the idea that Hunter Biden was targeted because of the president, and after months of speaking out about Trump and his trials, tribulations and convictions in the months leading up to the election. objected to granting amnesty now.
“You didn't talk about this at the time. In fact, you specifically said before the election that you would not pardon your son. You're announcing it now that we know you're doing it.''As the 47th president, you were always going to do it, and that's okay too, but it doesn't make you happy.'' Not,” he said.
“Because if you look at Donald Trump and the way the Democrats went after him…you know the Democrats are no longer in a position to say anything, right? They can talk until the cows come home. You who are whistling. No one wants to hear you now. I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about your party. .
“Because when you forgive your son, you go back on your words and tell the American people there's no way you're going to forgive your son, and everyone knows you're lying and your grandmother… You didn't take responsibility for that, but for your son's sake. Now you've confirmed that you believed that people were probably lying about that thing they said they wouldn't do, all you had to do was say, “He's my son, I can't forgive you,'' he simply said. Go to jail. 'What's wrong with everyone? ”
In a statement Sunday night, Hunter said he would never take for granted the “pardon” given to him by his father and would dedicate his life to helping addicts.
“I have acknowledged and taken responsibility for the mistakes I made during the darkest days of my addiction. Those mistakes were exploited to shame and humiliate me and my family as a public political sport. “The eldest son wrote.

“In the throes of addiction, I have squandered many opportunities and blessings. If we don't take for granted the mercy we are given, we will try to make amends as much as possible during recovery and live life. It gives us an opportunity to rebuild.”
