Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson was “not at all concerned” about the attention he received for his postgame confrontation with Matt Eberflus after Chicago's loss to the Lions on Thanksgiving Day.
During Monday's appearance on “670 The Score”Johnson learned of Eberflus' firing on ESPN and said the postgame meeting was done because “enough is enough.”
“At the end of the day, I was frustrated. Some of my own words came from the frustration of losing,” he said. “Part of what I said after the game is that I've been losing for five years. I mean, a high-level player like me, at some point you lose a game and you lose the way you've lost. Look, someone feels like they have to express something. It was one of those situations where you just don't remember everything that was said.”
Poor time management late in games ultimately cost Eberflus his job as the Bears lost six in a row.
Four of the six losses came on the final play, likely contributing to the frustration felt within the Bears' locker room.

“It was just based on the frustration of losing,” Johnson said. “That was the trigger. Let's look at a few things and the way things have gone over the last few weeks. From the outside looking in, you could say it's over the last few weeks. For me, this is me The last five years of his career.”
Eberflus was fired last Friday after speaking on the phone with local media and expressing confidence in coaching in the upcoming game against the 49ers.
“I'm confident in working towards San Francisco and being ready for that game,” Eberflus said on a Zoom call with reporters hours before he was fired.
