Sunday grab? I tend not to go out. I am returning to the social conventions of people having to stay at home, cook, and relax. I will be happy to help you with that. Last Sunday I had roast lamb.
who's eating it? My wife, my son, and my father who lives next door. It's a multi-generational family and a fun circular reenactment of my own childhood. My grandparents lived with us, so we often had roasts with friends and neighbors. Now I like inviting people.
What is my time on Sunday? I thought I'd try cycling around Richmond Park, which I did last Sunday. It was actually lovely. Or I'll buy a bag of falafel and head to Ridgeway to watch the red kites.
What about birds? yes. Birds of prey. If you can get up high, you can look down at them hovering just below the hill and see the bright red backs of their bodies with their beautiful forked tails.
Do you want to visit the tip? Oh, I love chips. The secret is to go at midnight. We used to go to the Wandsworth tip and then to the Nine Elms flower market. There's a wonderful contrast between the huge monolithic piles of fetid rubbish and the fragrant halls of Nine Elms, where you can get eggs and chips at any time of the day.
How do you relax? Playing cards has become a bit of a ritual. It's a very cheerful atmosphere, but you can see how competitive people are. It gets quite hot. Maybe you could watch a movie. And there's a really nice pub a surprising distance from the house. It has become a great place to hang out, especially during the summer.
How are you feeling on Monday? Sometimes we need to be reminded what day it is. All the days blur into one. Go outside and look at the traffic to determine what day it is.
