A recent study found that approximately 50 per cent of Syrian refugees in Canada are still receiving government assistance five years after arriving in Canada.
The survey, conducted by Statistics Canada, showed According to True North, “42.3 per cent of the refugee population aged 15 to 54 who received government assistance in 2014 remained dependent on social assistance six years after landing in Canada.”
“The situation worsened for subsequent groups, with arrivals in 2015 coinciding with the start of the Liberal government's Syrian refugee operation. showing “After five years, 50.4 percent will be dependent on social assistance,” the paper said.
“While resettlement of Syrians continues, dependency on social assistance is even higher in the 2016 cohort, with 69.5% of refugees receiving government assistance relying on social assistance four years after landing. The report added:
As Breitbart News reported, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently admitted that mistakes were made within his administration regarding immigration policy. Prime Minister Trudeau said large companies and universities are abusing Canada's Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) system to avoid hiring Canadian workers.
“Too many universities were exploiting international students to make money because they could charge international students tens of thousands of dollars more for the same degree,” Trudeau explained. “And then there are the really bad actors who blatantly exploit people and target vulnerable immigrants with promises of jobs, diplomas, and an easy path to citizenship. Promises that never come true.”
Trudeau lamented that the Canadian government “could have turned off the tap sooner” when “the post-pandemic boom wore off and businesses no longer needed additional workforce assistance.”
Breitbart News' Neil Munro has previously said that public support for an “unlimited supply of cheap foreign labor” in Canada is declining as Canadians face declining wages, productivity and wealth. It was reported that they were doing so.
Recent Ipsos poll conducted in September Found Only 33% of Canadians approved of Prime Minister Trudeau, compared to 67% who disapproved.
