Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was attacked by a violent mob in London over his support for Israel and Jews, witnesses said.
Mayweather, 47, was shopping in London's trendy Hatton Garden district when he was attacked by the beasts, according to a video shared on social media.
Members of the mob taunted the fighter, who was flanked by security, with racial slurs, and at least one attempted to punch him. The Sun reported.
Witnesses told the magazine that the altercation broke out after Mayweather told the crowd he was “proud to support Jews.”
“When Mayweather was asked why he supports Israel, someone said he was shopping,” said an onlooker.
“He pulled himself together and stated that he was proud to support Jews,” they continued, adding that the attack “appeared to be highly targeted.”
However, a source close to Mayweather told The Sun that he was not touched at any point during the turmoil.
Mayweather later addressed the assault on Instagram, claiming he was “not hit or touched in any way.”
“All you see is my security guard doing his job to keep things under control,” he said.
The boxer said he was in the UK for a “short 48-hour visit” to do some shopping.
“I'm perfectly fine. Nothing more,” he added.
