About half of Americans approve of how President-elect Trump is handling the transition to a second term in the White House, according to two new national polls.
A CNN poll released Wednesday found that 55% of Americans said they generally approve of how President-elect Biden is handling the transition from the Biden administration to the Trump administration.
That's higher than it was eight years ago, when Trump first won the White House, according to a CNN poll, but still far behind other recent presidents.
Meanwhile, a Marist poll also released Tuesday found that 47% of those questioned gave the former president and incoming president high marks for their handling of the transition, 39% disapproved and 14% unsure. I couldn't have it.
Not surprisingly, the Marist poll shows a wide partisan divide on this issue, with 86% of Republicans supporting the Republican president-elect's handling of the transition. However, 72% of Democrats disapproved. Among independents, 43% disapproved and 38% supported.

Miringoff added: “What President-elect Trump should be aware of is that there are currently fewer voters who support the transition than voters who supported either Biden or Obama.”
