On Wednesday, NewsNation columnist Ann Coulter said she expected President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet appointees to do well in confirmation races.
Coulter told host Dan Abrams that while he is skeptical about some nominations, he is hopeful that a woman will be nominated.
A partial transcription follows:
ABRAMS: I ask, do you think the following people will be confirmed by the Senate? It's not about whether you think it should be or not. Probably the answer to all of them is yes.
Probably the answer to all of them is “no”.
Coulter: The first thing you should say is, “I don't know, but go ahead.”
Abrams: RFK, Jr.
Coulter: Yes.
ABRAMS: Pete Hegseth.
Coulter: 50-50.
Abrams: Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.
Coulter: I don't know.
Abrams: Kash Pate —
Coulter: If she doesn't, she'll be shot down for the wrong reasons, if you ask me.
Abrams: Okay.
Coulter: I think she's a little crazy. She belongs to a crazy Hindu cult.
Abrams: I mean, I think she probably would…
COULTER: No one talks about that. But the neocons and the foreign policy community think she doesn't want war. That's why I support her. So if she gets shot down, she'll be shot down for completely the wrong reasons.
Abrams: Okay. Kash Patel of the FBI.
Coulter: Yes.
ABRAMS: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
Coulter: I hope not.
ABRAMS: I asked her, what do you think? And finally, Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Coulter: I hope not, but I think all women will be confirmed because Republican men are afraid to vote against women.
Abrams: Really?
COULTER: Well, I think Kristi Noem is the worst of all the candidates, especially for the important cabinet position of Homeland Security. And Pam Bondi, I mean, she's okay, but…
Abrams: Pam Bondi would definitely get approved.
COULTER: Because she's a woman.
Abrams: Well, because she's not Matt Gaetz.
Coulter: Because if that's the norm, the answer is all yes.
