Therefore, the alternative spelling “womyn” is included in the study list because it is listed as an alternative spelling for “woman” at Merriam-Webster.
When creating research lists, we aim to include alternative spellings of words listed in Merriam-Webster. The Merriam-Webster Unabridged Dictionary is the final authority and single source for the spelling of all words offered in the contest.
