On Friday's broadcast of Fox News Channel's “Fox & Friends,” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg (D) said Americans are being failed by Democrats' open border policies and that if Sen. Ted Cruz (D) “Otherwise,” he said, “if the bill by (R-Texas) becomes law.” If any of the policies President-elect Trump is promoting had been in place, Jocelyn Nangaray would likely still be alive today. ”
Mr Ogg said: [relevant remarks begin around 2:00] “Democrats' policy of open borders has failed the American people. Had the Jocelyn Justice Act, introduced by Sen. Ted Cruz, or the policies promoted by President-elect Trump, been in place, Jocelyn Nangarei would still be alive today. These horrific crimes by illegal immigrants crossing the border must stop. Jocelyn's family is in a situation they never dreamed would happen to them. A horrible crime that didn't need to happen I think it's unfair to people who have children to be targeted by convicted criminals. If they weren't in our country, Joselyn would be alive. If the Border Patrol had continued to detain them, as the Congressman's bill required, Jocelyn would have lived. So what makes prosecutors really angry about this case, and what I really do, is that they're angry. The question is, was this incident preventable?”
