On Friday's broadcast of FOX News Channel's “Fox News @ Night,” Yaden Gonen, the sister of Hamas hostage Romi Gonen, said she feels the chances of saving the hostages have increased recently, saying, Since President-elect Trump took office, [elected]he said some great things,” and “He's still using his powers.”
“I have always been optimistic and hopeful, but in recent days and weeks I have felt the winds of change stronger,” Gonen said. Since Trump became President-elect, [elected]he said some amazing things like December 3rd — if I remember correctly — and did everything really quickly. He still uses that power. And we feel it and hear it from everywhere, including the White House. [is] We are working closely with the incoming administration and Congress. We also spoke with Speaker Johnson (R-Louisiana), who made a very important statement today, and several other representatives. And we feel that from all the support here in the United States. We feel it from Israel and we feel it everywhere. So it's a really important time…to save my sister, but… [all the] There are 100 hostages. And I hope to hear good news tonight as well. ”
Gonen also said Biden administration officials “have always been very helpful.”
