In a joint announcement with Trump, Son will create 100,000 jobs focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and related infrastructure, CNBC reported, citing people familiar with the matter. He also promised to invest in the funds by the end of his term.
Funding could come from a variety of sources controlled by SoftBank, including the Vision Fund, capital projects or chipmaker Arm Holdings, CNBC said.
