Rampage inflation was one, if not the biggest factor, that led to Donald Trump's re-election. Hard-working Americans are tired of struggling every day to put food on the table and keep the lights on.
So why are so many economists baffled by the average worker's concern about rising prices?
Is it because they have lost touch with the struggles of everyday people in their ivory towers, with their noses in books?
Matt Kibe and his guest Lydia Mashburn Newman, director of financial economics at the American Bureau of Economic Research, think that's exactly what happened.
Perhaps they don't realize that the Federal Reserve, combined with reckless government spending, is causing inflation to skyrocket.
The problem has gotten so bad that people like former Texas congressman Dr. Ron Paul, a longtime critic of the Federal Reserve, need to come in and clean it up.
“Within the Republican Party, Ron Paul was considered a heretic, a gadfly, or even a nuisance to 'serious' people trying to implement serious policy,” Kibbe said, adding that the Federal Reserve and deny Recalling Dr. Paul's outspoken remarks about eliminating policy-based policies, he says: The attitude with which he was received. “But let's fast forward here…Senator Mike Lee has introduced a bill to end the Fed.”
Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) then took up the bill.
“Americans are suffering from catastrophic inflation, and the Federal Reserve is to blame,” he said. said. “During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Reserve created trillions of dollars out of thin air and loaned the Treasury to enable unprecedented deficit spending. The Federal Reserve Monetizes Debt. This enabled a free money policy that devalued the dollar and caused high inflation.'' Today we find out. ”
“Thomas Massey is basically a mini-Dr. Paul,” Kibbe says. “And I say that as a compliment.”
Above Massey carrying Dr. Paul's torch are the following: “Elon Musk retweets Mike Leigh about the end of the Fed,” and “Dr. Paul is being consulted by the so-called DOGE committee.”
“What people are feeling in their wallets and shopping carts is a lot of inflation. So people are starting to go back to Dr. Paul and his influence in the Austrian economy,” Kibbe says.
“It's a Ron Paul moment.”
