Authorities on Monday identified the teen who shot and killed a student and teacher at a private Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin, and left two more students clinging to their lives.

Police told Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow. Madison Police Chief Shon Burns announced Monday night that a 15-year-old student at Abundant Life Christian School, a K-12 school, brought a handgun onto campus and opened fire around 11 a.m. Sources told CNN that the gunman was later found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The school, located in the state capital, has about 400 students.

Bethany Hyman, whose daughter attends the school, described her fear until she FaceTimed with her child and found out she was safe.

“As soon as that happens, your world stops for a second. Nothing else matters,” Hyman said. “There's no one around you.

“You just run for the door and try to do the best you can as a parent to be with your kids.”

“We are asking for prayers!” the school wrote on its Facebook page. There was a shooting incident at ALCS today.

“We are following up and will share information as we can.”
