House Republicans are calling on the FBI to investigate Liz Cheney for allegedly tampering with “at least one” witness on the partisan Jan. 6 committee.
Cheney, a former committee member, said last week that he should not go to prison for alleged misconduct while on the committee. President-elect Donald Trump accused partisan committee members of destroying evidence from the committee that they claimed would exonerate him from allegations of wrongdoing.
report released House Executive Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk said Tuesday that the partisan committee “ignored or concealed evidence” from the final report and “deleted vast amounts of records that should have been preserved.”
“Based on the evidence available to this subcommittee, it is likely that a number of federal laws were violated by Liz Cheney, former vice chair of the January 6th task force, and that these violations are the subject of a federal investigation.” should be investigated by the Department,” Loudermilk recommended.

According to Loudermilk's press release, the report found:
1. Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney conspired with “star witness” Cassidy Hutchinson without Hutchinson's attorney's knowledge.
2. Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney should be investigated for possible criminal witness tampering based on new information about her communications.
3. Cassidy Hutchinson's most outrageous claims lack any evidence, and the task force knew they were false at the time they publicly promoted her.
The report also claimed there was “evidence of collusion” between special counsel Jack Smith, who prosecuted Trump, and the Democratic Party committee.
