A cruise ship passenger was caught on camera acting unruly and died shortly after being detained.
Michael Virgil, 35, was seen trying to kick in the door of the ship shortly after it left the Los Angeles cruise terminal bound for Ensenada, Mexico, FOX 11 reported.
“The drunk gentleman said he was going to kill us,” cruise ship passenger Christifa Mikhail told a local broadcaster. “He started chasing us down the hallway.”

“It was a little scary,” Mikhail said. “I'm stuck in this hallway.”
Virgil is said to have used profanity and racial slurs.

Virgil's family told FOX 11 that he died within an hour of being injected with what appeared to be a sedative by a security guard. They said what happened was uncharacteristic of him.
“He didn't deserve to die over that.” a relative told FOX11.
According to the station, Mr. Viriguru left behind his wife and 7-year-old son, who were with him on the cruise.

Royal Caribbean said in a statement to Fox News Digital: “We are saddened by the death of one of our guests. We are providing support to the family and working with authorities on the investigation.” .
The exact cause of Virgil's death is still unknown, but FOX 11 reported that the FBI is investigating the incident. The FBI did not respond to a Fox News Digital inquiry regarding the status of the investigation.
