During a basketball game between Israel's Hapoel Holon and France's Nanterre 92, a group of agitators waving Palestinian flags stormed the court, causing chaos in the stands.
The incident occurred during the third quarter of a game in Nanterre, France, which was part of the FIBA Basketball Champions League.
About 10 people rushed onto the court waving Palestinian flags, infuriating hundreds of attendees from the French Jewish community who were rooting for the Israeli team.
Some anti-Israel activists jumped into the stands and were quickly arrested by security. Pro-Israel groups began chanting nationalist chants.

The match resumed minutes later after police detained the disruptors. Security was increased for the remaining games, including police equipped with shields, to separate members of the Jewish community from other fans.

The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs had issued a warning earlier in the day about the match, including early signs that protests were planned by groups expected to gather near the arena. These included the pro-Palestinian organization EuroPalestine and the far-left party La France Insoumise.

Nanterre Mayor Rafael Adam earlier this week banned fans from attending matches to “prevent social disorder”, but a court overturned that decision on Wednesday morning.

Hapoel Holon lost to Nanterre 87-77. However, thanks to Bosnia's Igokea losing to Germany's Wurzburg, the Israeli team advanced to the top 16 stage. Yotam Hanoch led scorers with 18 points from Guy Goodes, and Paul Lacombe topped his opponents with 23 points.
