Will Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's reign end, or will he run again for a fourth term?
no matter what the answer is, glenn beck Ezra Levant, author of The Glenn Beck Program and founder of Rebel News, believes Trudeau's time should be over.
“Prime Minister Trudeau loves the excitement of being prime minister. He loves being praised,” Levant tells Glenn. “For example, he went to a recent Taylor Swift concert and exchanged friendship bracelets with teenage girls. That's his market these days. Everyone else is screaming at him. ”
“Canadians can't wait to get rid of Prime Minister Trudeau. I don't want to seem overconfident, but the leader of the Conservative Opposition, his name is Pierre Poièvre, he's good. He's far ahead in the polls. “We are leading the way,” he continued.
There are approximately five political parties in Canada's Parliament, with the Conservative Party having an approval rating of 43%.
“It may sound low in America's two-party system, but when you have five parties, 43% means a big win,” Levant explains. “And last night, after Chrystia Freeland exploded Prime Minister Trudeau and resigned, there was a polling company called Abacus Data that was immediately on the scene.”
“His results were just released. Only 11 per cent of Canadians support Prime Minister Trudeau. 11 per cent; it would be a massacre,” he continued. “Glenn, I have to tell you that according to polling organizations, people of all backgrounds, young and old, minorities, all want Prime Minister Trudeau out of office.”
“Canadians are finally done with him. We need that moment to go vote,” he added.
“How much of a role did the election of Donald Trump play in this?” Glenn asks, curious.
“I don't know if you remember, but about a month ago, President Trump tweeted, 'If Mexico and Canada don't close their borders, we'll impose 25% tariffs. Stop Illegal Drugs, Stop Illegal Immigration. Please,” Levant explains.
“What if Trump actually imposed tariffs on Canada? It's hurting our economy, so now Prime Minister Trudeau is saying, 'This terrible economy isn't my fault, it's Trump's fault.' Now I can say it. “If you want to stand up to Trump, vote for me. If you don't like Trump, vote for me,” he continued.
“I think Prime Minister Trudeau is willing to sacrifice the Canadian economy for a hopeless chance of running again and winning. That's my theory,” he added.
