Biden’s Mass Immigration Drives U.S. Population to Over 340 Million

Mass immigration under President Joe Biden is driving nearly all population growth in the United States, the Census Bureau has found. Without such a large influx of immigrants, the population would likely stabilize.

Latest Census Bureau report shows that the U.S. population grew by almost 1% from 2023 to 2024. This is the fastest annual population growth rate since 2001.

Under Biden's mass immigration policy, the United States added 2.8 million immigrants over the last year, pushing the country's population to more than 340 million. Without such mass immigration, the U.S. population would have stabilized, adding about 500,000 residents within the last year.

The report concludes that immigrants accounted for 84 percent of this population growth.

“Pure international migration refers to changes in residence across U.S. borders (the 50 states and the District of Columbia) and has been an important demographic component of change driving resident population growth.” The book says:

The number of immigrants added to the U.S. population in the past year exceeds the 1.7 million added in 2022 and the 2.3 million added in 2023.

The states with the biggest jumps in new arrivals were Florida with 411,322, California with 361,057 and Texas with 319,569.

“The past five years have seen a decline in the role of natural increase, as international net immigration has become the primary driver of national growth,” said Christy Wilder, a demographer at the Census Bureau. said.

If immigration numbers do not decline, the U.S. population could reach an unprecedented 400 million people by 2060, according to an analysis of Census Bureau data released last year.

A majority of Americans continue to tell pollsters that they want America's population growth to level off.

For example, a recent study from Rasmussen Reports found that: 6/10 Americans argued that population growth due to immigration should be slowed or stopped altogether. Fewer than 3 in 10 Americans say current population growth due to immigration should continue.
