Raiders fans furious with win that may cost them No. 1 draft pick: ‘We just blew it’

The Raiders won the game, which would have been a welcome event under normal circumstances, but the win had a huge impact on April's draft position.

Ameer Abdullah's touchdown in the fourth quarter gave Las Vegas a 19-14 victory over the Jaguars, but most fans were upset as the Raiders fell to sixth place in the race for the No. 1 overall pick.

“Thank God?? We blew it. I'm done,” another fan wrote In response to a post about the Raiders winning.

“The loser's mentality is to win 2-12.” Another person called out.

But the players and owners didn't care at all about the negativity surrounding the win.

Raiders owner Mark Davis was seen clapping in the locker room as media members entered after the game. According to Tashan Reid of The Athletic.

“Please talk [GM] Tom Telesco” Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce responded. When asked about fans who were upset about the impact the win had on the draft.

Quarterback Aidan O'Connell told reporters he doesn't pay attention to outside noise.

“I haven't read anything, and I haven't really heard anything. I definitely think ignorance is bliss, and that's how I go.” he said.

The Raiders are in a dogfight with the Giants for the No. 1 overall pick, and the Giants took over the lead after a heartbreaking loss to the Falcons earlier Sunday.

According to Tankasson, the Patriots currently sit in second place behind the Jaguars, Titans and Browns.

The Raiders have played their final two games of the season, facing the Saints next weekend and closing out the year with a game against the Chargers.
