The National Lacrosse League has launched an investigation after disturbing scenes erupted after a recent Halifax Thunderbirds game.
A video of professional lacrosse player Tyson Bell getting into a physical altercation with a fan after Saturday's game against the Colorado Mammoths has gone viral. At one point in the fight, Bell appeared to be using a lacrosse stick.
The NLL admitted it was aware of what happened after last weekend's game.

“The National Lacrosse League is aware of an alleged incident that occurred between a player and a spectator following the game between Halifax and Colorado on December 21,” the NLL said in a statement on Dec. 22. Ta. “The league will provide an update” once the investigation is complete. ”
A video shared on social media reportedly showed Bell “attacking a fan with his fists before brandishing his cane at the fan.” TMZ Sports.

The fans appeared to directly insult the players as they headed to the locker room. Bell's teammates eventually intervened and held Bell back in an attempt to de-escalate the situation.

Colorado defeated Halifax on Saturday. Colorado forward Will Malcolm led his team with 10 points and seven goals in the 9-14 win. Meanwhile, Bell did not record any goals during the match.

Other details about the incident were not immediately available.
The Thunderbirds will play the Albany Firewolves on December 28th at Scotiabank Center.
