A disturbing new report reveals how a Queens public high school teacher allegedly created a creepy “escape room” where he sexually abused female students.
Scott Biskey, a music teacher at Gateway to Jamaica Science High School, was also involved in the investigation after he allegedly invited the girl to his home when his wife and two children weren't home, called it his “bat cave,” and forced her to have sex with him. the person claims.
Bisky, 50, began “grooming” the student when she was 14 years old, in second grade, and culminated in a “sexual relationship” in third grade. Request a report By the City Schools Special Committee Chairman.
The former student, now 25, told investigators in 2022, “It turns out that these strange hugs and cuddles were actually just groping. He didn't seek sexual pleasure from me without my consent.” He was touching me because of it.”
Mr. Bisky set up “makeshift dividers and old desks” in his music classroom and office and invited students to gather in his “escape room.”
There, Bisky touched the student's breasts and tried to kiss her, causing the girl to pull away and “immediately” walk away, according to the report.
Bisky also invited the girl to his home to play board games with other children. Once he arrived, he was the only student there, the report said.
Bisky also gave the girl lavish gifts, including a flute that was only supposed to be loaned to students, her favorite childhood book, new clothes and cash, including $200 for Ugg boots.
SCI found that he sent the boy nearly 700 messages, 82 of which were while he was in school.
Biskey told investigators that he instructed the girl to save her phone number under the pseudonym “Arthur Dent” “so as not to arouse suspicion.” Another student told SCI that he believed his alias was the Batman villain “Harvey Dent” and that his alter ego was “Two-Face.”
According to court documents and the SCI report, Bisky forcibly kissed and groped the student in the school office, forced him to touch his erection, and told him, “You make me feel that way.'' “That's it,” he reportedly told her.
Ms. Bisky assigned the student to play lead flute in the school band, performed a coveted solo, and wrote her an “excellent” college recommendation letter, she said.
“These are things he did as part of his grooming routine,” she said.
After she graduated, Bisky told investigators that Biskey “begged” her to come to his home to have sex when his wife and two children were out.
And the perverted sentences continued.
“No Halloween party? No slut costumes?” he texted her when she was a freshman in college. “No, 'I'm Little Red Riding Hood, the prostitute.'”
On another occasion he wrote: my job. my house. my children. all. “
The student told investigators that he viewed Bisky as a “father figure” and was “disgusted” by his actions.
The New York City Police Department closed the criminal case against Bisky after the student claimed the sexual encounter was consensual and took place after she turned 17, but the teacher's conduct was “egregious, manipulative, predatory, and… The SCI charged that the attack was “targeted.”
After the students came forward in June 2022, the city Department of Education removed Biski from Gateway, but records show he remained on the city payroll until last year, collecting $99,578 in fiscal year 2024.
A DOE spokesperson said he has “irrevocably resigned.”
In addition to recommending Biski's termination, SCI also asked the DOE to amend its guidelines regarding teachers using private phone numbers to send text messages to children.
SCI has repeatedly asked the DOE to prohibit its employees from contacting students' cell phones or social media accounts. Over the past five years, we found at least 89 cases in which DOE employees engaged in inappropriate conversations with students via text or online.
Last year, a 25-year-old former student filed a lawsuit accusing Biski of harassment and sexual assault. Biskey sued the DOE in June, accusing it of denying him legal representation.
Biski's lawyer did not respond to inquiries.
